On May 7, 2026, the Omanhene of the Sunyani Traditional Area, Odeefour Ogyeamansan Boahen Korkor II, initiated construction of the SUSEC Year of Return 2027 Clinic Project. The project is intended to expand healthcare and educational infrastructure in the Bono Region.
Located on the Sunyani Secondary School (SUSEC) campus, the clinic will provide healthcare services to both students and residents of surrounding communities in the Bono Region.
Royal Patronage and Support
At the ceremony, Odeefour Ogyeamansan Boahen Korkor II donated 200 bags of cement and stated his intention to support the project through to completion.
The Omanhene encouraged alumni, individuals, corporate entities, and regional institutions to contribute to the project. He noted that although the clinic will be located at SUSEC, it is expected to benefit the wider Bono Region.
Symbolic Donation from Suncity Radio CEO
Mr. Ransford Antwi, CEO of Suncity Radio, announced a personal donation of GH₵ 10,000 to support the clinic’s construction. This contribution was made in collaboration with the SUSEC 99 Year Group.
Mr. Antwi stated that the donation amount matched the sum refunded to him by the Electoral Commission after his candidacy as an Independent Parliamentary Candidate in the 2024 General Elections.
“I really wanted to do something symbolic with it,” Mr. Antwi stated. “I sincerely believe that sowing a seed for such a significant project, being spearheaded by His Royal Majesty, is absolutely the right thing to do.”

A Legacy for Future Generations
Mr. Antwi encouraged others to support the project, emphasizing the long-term benefits the clinic is expected to provide for future generations.
“We may not have direct benefit of the facility ourselves, but our grandchildren and their children shall,” he added.
