DUADASO, GHANA — The Member of Parliament for Jaman North, Honourable Ahenkwah Yaw Frederick, has provided financial support to Duadaso No. 2 Senior High School. The MP, joined by Mr. Sah Abraham, Deputy National Coordinator of the Ayalolo Bus Transport system, and members of the National Democratic Congress, presented a cheque for GHS 20,000 to the school administration on July 5, 2026.
Resolving Dining Hall Challenges
The GHS 20,000 donation is designated for purchasing dining hall furniture. Students have experienced difficulties during meal times because of a shortage of seating and tables, an issue common in many developing secondary schools in the region. During the presentation, Hon. Ahenkwah Yaw Frederick stated that the donation is part of efforts to improve the student learning environment in the constituency.

Inspection of the Eight-Year Abandoned E-Block
In addition to the donation, the MP and his delegation inspected the school’s E-Block facility, which has faced significant delays. The community-day school structure was abandoned for about eight years but construction has recently resumed. The E-Block project began as part of a national secondary education expansion initiative but experienced funding challenges over several budget cycles.

Hon. Ahenkwah noted the recent progress in construction at the site. “Reviving this structure is vital for expanding classroom capacity and easing the pressure on existing facilities,” local party representatives noted during the inspection. Completion of the E-Block is expected to reduce overcrowding and provide additional laboratory and classroom space for Duadaso No. 2 SHS. School authorities acknowledged the financial support and oversight intended to complete the project.
